Any body area can be treated and ClearScan™ is safe on all skin types (light to dark skin tones can be treated) for effectively removing unwanted hair. The ability to safely treat sun-tanned skin makes this the treatment of choice for active individuals. - Number of Recommended Treatments
- Hair grows in multiple cycles, therefore, several treatments are necessary. The number of treatments depends on type of hair and location, roughly 5-8 treatments. Treatments are usually performed 4-8 weeks apart, at your convenience. No follow-up maintenance is generally required.
- Permanent or Temporary
Generally permanent. However, there are variables such as hormones, medication, ethnicity, metabolism and certain genetic factors that may affect your results. Ask one of our clinical estheticians if the treatment for your specific situation is likely to result in permanent hair reduction.- Duration of Procedure
- The procedure takes up to 15 minutes to treat the underarms and up to an hour for legs or back.

- Side Effects
- While some areas can be more sensitive than others, most individuals describe the feeling as a slight stinging or tingling sensation. If needed, clients can also request a topical anesthetic to be applied prior to treatment.
- Side effects are minimal and are generally limited to a slight redness of the skin which should not persist for more than a few hours. The area of treatment needs to be shaved, no plucking, tweezing or depilatory creams i.e. Nair or Veet.
- Gray, white and light blond hair can not be treated.
